Ötschergräben – Vorderötscher
I hike through the rushing Ötschergräben to the Vorderötscher refuge. With cooling showers at the Schleier and Mira waterfalls to combat the heat.
Almkogel via Burgspitz
A fantastic mountain panorama on the Almkogel makes you forget the effort of the ascent. Not everything goes according to plan on this hike, and I have to adapt spontaneously.
Dürrenstein Alpine Trail (South Ascent)
A long, challenging but scenic tour in the Dürrenstein Wilderness Area. I climb the Dürrenstein via the rarely hiked southern flank and descend to the Ybbstalerhütte.
Long-distance Trail
Gerolding – Melk
My route takes me from the plateau to the Danube 🧜♂️🧜♀️ and then to Melk, the gateway to the Wachau. It gets adventurous, numerous stream crossings await.
Aggsbach Dorf – Gerolding
From the Aggsbach monastery, I climb up a strenuous Way of the Cross and reach the plateau of the Dunkelsteinerwald forest. A glorious day ☀️
Hofarnsdorf – Rossatz
A Roman path takes me into the autumnal Kupfertal and further to the Dunkelsteinerwald with a stop at the Seekopf viewing tower. Downhill through the Steinige Ries.
Cycling
Sulzberg Route
A fantastic mountain bike tour in the southern Waldviertel. I ride on the Scheibe along the Danube high up into the Ostrong Forest onto the Sulzberg.
Cider Baron Circuit
The apple 🍎 is in bloom! A varied round trip with great panoramic views, blossoming orchards, some history and tantalising delicacies.
Muehlberg Course
A short and steep mountainbike tour in the Strudengau. Perfect for a scenic detour of the Danube Cylce Path
